Events

In our mission to serve and lead others in our community to experience all that the outdoors has to offer and create fond memories afield, we offer a variety of events to do just that.

Types of Events We Provide at Monquin Creek Outdoors

Sunflower Event

Our sunflower event is one of our favorite events here at Monquin Creek. This event creates an exciting opportunity for both adults and children to come and take photographs of sunflowers, cut flowers, and participate in games that result in prizes, such as the ribbon-tying contest. Each spring, we plant sunflowers in preparation for this event. We look forward to the many smiling faces we see from families at this event each year.

Additionally, our sunflower field allows us to host a dove hunting event each fall to initiate the excitement for the fall hunting season and provides an additional opportunity for Monquin Creek to engage in agribusiness. Once the sunflowers are harvested, we collect the seeds and sell them to outside purchasers to use for other sustainable purposes.

Full circle, our sunflower event creates many beneficial opportunities for our community, other businesses, families, conservation, land management, and wildlife.

Youth Hunting Events

Getting our youth engaged in the outdoors is one of our biggest commitments. Our youth today are our hunters and conservationists of tomorrow. We offer youth hunting events for duck and spring turkey season. We are currently in the process of extending our youth hunting events to include additional opportunities.

Disabled Veterans Hunting Events

We are passionate about providing opportunities in the outdoors for those who served. Each year, Monquin Creek hosts a disabled veterans hunt, where participating disabled veterans are each personally guided on a deer hunt for a thrilling day in the field. Our goal is to give back to those who gave, and we strive to provide a successful hunt for each participating veteran.
